Coins and Coin Exchange — Gameplay Mechanics

This article explains how coins work in Solitaire Social, including where to earn them, how to use them, and how to exchange them between locations like the Alpine Hotel, Farm, Coast, and Garden.

🎯 What Are Coins For?

Coins are used to:

• 💡 Upgrade buildings or objects in locations

• 🪴 Buy decorations from the in-game shop

• Play Knockout if there are no tickets

Each location has its own type of coins:

• 🌼 Garden → Gold coins

• 🌊 Coast → Sapphire coins

• 🐔 Farm → Basic early-game coins

💰 How to Earn Coins

You can earn coins through several activities:

• 👑 Win tournaments (Kings or Sevens bring coin rewards)

• 🎁 Daily gifts — coins may be included

• 📬 Ask your friends for coins (send and receive via Mail)

• 📅 Daily quests and streak rewards

• 🛒 Buy coins in the coin shop with real money

⚠️ Once a newer location is unlocked, all future coin rewards and gifts will be in coins for the newest location. Gold coins (Garden) can still be requested from friends but won't drop automatically anymore.

📬 How to Send or Request Coins

To get coins from friends:

1. Open the necessary location

2. Click the Send quest button under coins counter

3. Send a coin request

4. Friends must also send requests to receive coins from you

This system helps build up your balance through social interaction.

🔁 Coin Exchange Between Locations

When you unlock new areas, you'll get access to the coin exchange feature. Here's how it works:

🧭 Exchange Rules:

• 💱 Rate: 1:1 exchange (no loss)

• 🔁 Direction matters:

  • You can exchange coins only from newer to older locations

  • Example: Coast → Garden = ✅, Garden → Coast = ❌

Look for the Exchange button — it’s in the top-left corner of the screen, near your coin and magic counters.

💡 You’ll also receive a welcome bonus of 100 coins from Lily when you first visit the Coast or Garden to help you understand how exchange works.
